On 3rd of December 2016, in National sports academy "Vassil Levski" in Sofia, Bulgaria was held seminar for students and teachers, that teach them how to use the program of IAAF - Kids athletics, organized by "Bulgarian sports development association", in partnership with Bulgarian athletics federation. Seminar was held with the expert support of chief assistant in National sports academy - Ivaylo Lazarov, who has teached 30 participants how to use the methodology in their daily work with kids and youngsters. During sport event, held on 4th of December, participants in the seminar had the opportunity to show on practice what they have learned.
IAAF Kids’ Athletics is one of the biggest grassroots development programmes in the world of sports. Created in 2005, IAAF Kids' Athletics has been implemented in 134 Member Federations and has reached an estimated cumulative audience of more than 13 million children.
This event has promoted the activities of “European everyday of sport” project - 572647-EPP-1-2016-BG-SPO-SCP is with total budget 96 321 Euro and is implemented by international consortium of 7 countries – Bulgaria - Bulgarian sports development association, Italy - Mine Vaganti NGO, Croatia - Riječki Sportski Savez, Hungary - Reményt a Gyermekeknek Közhasznú Egyesület / Hope for Children Hungary, Lithuania - Vilniaus kolegija / University of Applied Sciences, Poland - Stowarzyszenie Instytut Nowych Technologii / Association Institute of Innovative Technologies, Slovakia - A.D.E.L. – Association for Development, Education and Labour.
Bulgarian partners of this event are The Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Bulgarian National Television as its main media partner.
